Shower mixer replacement.

This was a replacement of a very old style shower mixer with hot and cold turn down taps.

The customer requested a better performing shower after the old shower was changed to unequal pressure. Meaning the cold was high pressure and hot was low pressure. The mixer is fitted with a Venturi where the thrust of the cold water mixes the hot and provides a more stable and balanced temperature for showering. A difficult situation as the original shower had the hot water on the right and cold on the left, modern mixers are the opposite way around. I had to cut a hole in the wardrobe behind the mixer to change the hot and cold pipe work to their respective sides. Unfortunately the holes left by the original taps were too big to be covered by the mixer plate. Bearing in mind the budget I fitted a PVC plate to cover this.

End result was another satisfied customer. Meeting your plumbing needs.
