Condensation can look like a major leak.

When I get calls about intermittent leaks and I suggest that it could be condensation, often I get a look of disbelief. However, condensation can cause a lot of excess water in the right circumstances. This bath for instance, was leaking from the sealed edge. Once it was lifted out it was quite apparent that it was condensation and a lot of it. A common place may be on your toilet cistern. In winter the water is quite a lot colder, when the air temperature is warmer on the inside of the house, condensation is created. Much like on windows on those cold winter mornings.
