Hot Water Cylinder element.

Imagine waking up and going for a shower to find there’s no hot water. This is possibly down to the electrical element breaking down.

Over the years manufactures have looked at the design of element to provide longevity of the part. Unfortunately water quality can be part of the problem. Calcium in the water supply when reaching a certain temperature burns off, causing lime scale. The element in your jug, the spout of a zip and even your hot water tap may have the tell tale signs of lime scale. Water filters and softeners can be added to the system to prevent this.
