It is common for chlorine to be added to our water supplies to kill off parasites, bacteria and viruses that may become present. This gives water that horrible taste and feeling like your in a swimming pool rather than having a bath. Other problems in our water supplies are the natural process of water collecting Iron, Manganese, Calcium and other minerals being picked up. These can create problems with your plumbing ie, hot water cylinder element replacement due to lime scale build up.

This particular system enters a media tank, there are various medias dependant on your needs. The media filters out the fine materials and once a week will automatically back wash the media to keep it clean. The square tank adds salt to soften the water and give a PH neutral water supply. The second tank is a charcoal filter that removes the taste and also has a facility to back wash keeping the charcoal clean. The supply then enters the smaller tank that captures deposits that are missed through the process.
