Leaking Water Main

Leaking water main. Galvanised iron split across the seam.

I was called out to investigate a water patch that trailing across a foot path.

After removing some shrubbery to access where the leak was showing. I then dug a trench to expose the leak. The water was turned off in this picture, but clearly shows where the leak was and where the next leak would be. Old galvanised iron pipe has corroded across the seam and caused the pipe to split. Of course the split had to be under a concrete path which needed cutting out to expose the pipe. After cutting out the section of pipe and carrying out a patch repair I was able to get the building back up and running.

If you have any sins of a leak give me a call. Meeting your plumbing needs.
