Blocked Sinks

Any kind of blockage on your plumbing system is a bind.

The picture above shows a blocked sink. Without thinking about it, when we wash our pots we just fill the sink with hot water and away we go. Over time food debris, fats and oils from the pots is allowed to drain away into the pipe work, this then collects and builds up causing the dreaded blockage. Prior to washing your pots, take a bit of time to wipe away excess greases and discard of any food debris into a bin. What you do now will save you in the long run. Wednesdays Blog I will cover how we clear a blockage. Please before you put acid into your pipe work, consider what happens if the acid doesn’t clear the blockage. Not only does the plumber then have to worry about the blockage, but also the problem of not getting injured from the acid.
