Suspected leaking shower

This was a job called in by a home owner having had a builders report that implied the shower was leaking..

After seeing the damage to the paint work at the bottom of the window it was clear that something was amiss. However, I didn’t suspect the shower. After checking outside around the window, I found nothing that could have caused a leak. After discussing with the client, I cut out the sealant between the shower panel and tile to expose a gap. I then ran the shower directing the flow into the corner and could clearly see the bottom of the liner. As I suspected no sign of a leak. These situations are hard as you need physical evidence to effect a repair. The only thing that could possibly cause this is condensation over time and the corner of the window being the collection point, causing the paint to flake.

For any signs of a leak, give me a call. Meeting your plumbing needs.
